Konrad Swartz

The following is a video tribute to Konrad Swartz - I suppose it's long in-coming but it kind of happened on a whim. Sometimes I hear songs and I think they'd be perfect for a specific video about Los Laureles. I actually have a whole list of songs in my itunes that I'd like to make into videos when I have the time and/or the photos. Anyway, I've always loved the song Hay Hombre by Jorge Celedon but never knew who sang it or the title so I could never donwload it on itunes. The other night though I went to the corner market as I always do after my run and the girl there was listening to the song on a CD. I explained my love for the song and my slightly distressing and failed quest to own it and she offered to let me borrow the disc. Stunned, I ran home, called up CapitolRecords, asked permission to download it on my laptop and then after the download was complete, ran the disc back. After listening to the song 24 times in a row I was hit with that inexplicable desire to make a video about Konrad's time spent with me here in Honduras. I'm not sure why, the words are a bit hoakey and Konrad hates this type of music but it seemed like the right thing to do. So, here it is, in all it's cinematographic glory.

Thanks for sharing the link, but unfortunately it seems to be offline... Does anybody have a mirror or another source? Please answer to my post if you do!

I would appreciate if a staff member here at honduraskeiser.blogspot.com could post it.

Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Matt,
I clicked on the video and the youtube link opened up... My connection was slow....but I was able to slip it into the Moyea flv downloader (which copies Youtube videos) and watched the whole thing twice, leisurely. It's great! I can see how there is a chunk of your heart kind of torn away and the blood is seeping out. You try to hold it closed but the video was a way to just let it flow. Somewhat freeing but painful, too. Thanks for sharing it on the blog. Konrad's hair is a kick! ha! I am surprised you did not "barber him" sometime while he was sleeping.
See you soon, dear bro.
